General Information
Check-in and on-site registration for the conference will begin on Wednesday, June 17th at 1 PM in the CSULB University Student Union, and will continue through 4 PM on Thursday, June 18th. Conference programs and information packets will be distributed at that time.
On the afternoon of Wednesday, June 17th, a pre-conference workshop on the topic of Teaching with Humor will be held from 2-5pm. In the evening there will be mixer in the on-campus, at which time the ISHS Presidential Address will take place.
On Thursday, June 18th, registration will begin again at 8 AM. The day's programming will consist of paper, poster and plenary sessions from 8AM-5 PM. On Thursday evening, there will be a Comedy Contest, featuring the comic talents of ISHS members and members of the CSULB community.
On Friday, June 19th, paper, poster, and plenary sessions will run from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, with the Annual Member Meeting held in the morning.
On Saturday, we will close the conference with a brunch beginning at 8:30 AM with a special guest speaker, Joel Stein. Brunch will be followed by optional excursion to Southern California attractions. Two excursions are tentatively planned: A tour of the J. Getty Museum, and “Grand Tour of Los Angeles”. Sign-ups and further information for these tours will be available on the conference website in the spring.
